Mietta's Review
Food is bright colours of the food are carried over into the decor, sandy walls with vibrant green. It's a buzzy, up market restaurant that overlooks the King George Square, near city hall. Lots of regulars, hotel guests, city business people, holiday makers. It runs regular special menus and promotions. In 06 mains averaged $27.

Courier Mail food and wine guide Queensland 2008 Score: 13/20 "Although in appearance Picasso's looks dated (a result of the architecture as much as the heavy colours), service is right up to scratch"

Courier Mail Brett Debritz, 29-4-2007 "Picasso's has been there for many years and, like many hotel restaurants, it's seemingly open all the time but its function evolves across the day. From coffee and cakes to the full-on dining experience, an after-show supper, or just a light meal and some drinks, it's a venue that can be everything to everybody.

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2007 "A friendly spot in the city where you can meet for coffee and cake, sip bubbles by the bar, or sit on the enclosed terrace and watch the world go by, Picasso's has an imaginative menu"

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 2006 "Brent Southcombe has long since established his reputation as an innovative and highly stylised chef creating visually exciting food that also tastes good. He is not afraid to experiment with new ingredients and blend flavours and techniques from around the globe."

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 05 "The vibrant decor is matched by the colourful palette of the meals at this popular hotel-based city restaurant. Each dish is a work of art in itself, and chef Brent Southcombe's imagination offers everything"

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2004 "A refreshing take on a hotel restaurant, Picasso's offers creative fare - chef Brent Southcombe's dishes are best described as works of art - and the enclosed courtyard is a perfect spot to watch the City pass by."

Brisbane News, restaurant, 23-29/7/03, Alison Walsh,'a good choice for mid-priced City dining...a vast array of dishes that don't stray too close to the cutting edge.'
