Mietta's Review
This is the recently refurbished flagship of the Sitar line, it has dining inside out, Indian decor and good quality Indian food. Mains around $17. An excellent local with copious function space. Also at 2/377 Cavendish Rd, Coorparoo Ph: 3394 4455; 69 James St, New Farm, Ph: 3254 0400; 65 Hardgrave Rd, West End Ph: 3846 7271

Sitar is BYO (in this case, obviously also pour your own" as well) but there is a convenient bottle shop nearby. food: 6, service: 5, ambience: 7"

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 05 "There's dining outside, or inside in airconditioned comfort in a collection of brightly painted rooms, with draped fabric ceilings, wooden elephants and assorted bric-a-brac. The food is consistently good, with curries as mild or as spicy as you like."

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2004 "Sitar has quite an empire thanks to its reputation for consistently good Indian food. Don't miss the tandoori bugs or the tandoori octopus salad."
