Mietta's Review
More than a cafe this is a smar, slick restaurant. The food is very good, with a menu that offers traditional and contemporary Italian dishes. There is attention to detail in the kitchen and on the floor, and the prices, for the quality, are fair. The wine list is thoughtful and interesting. The best food in Woollongong.

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 14/20 "A cheeky row of wooden spoons lines the wall as you enter Lorenzo's, a long-serving stalwart on the Wollongong scene"

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2007 Score: 14/20 "Lorenzo's has morphed. It's more casual, the red walls are now softer hues of brown and cream, the prices have tumbled to levels that invite you to come back more often, and Lorenzo Pagnan is obviously enjoying the new buzz."

SBS Eating Guide to Sydney 2005 "It's the best foodie place in the Illawarra, according to subtitler Kim Morrison, who speaks very highly of the 'passionate, creative, friendly and humorous owner/chef Lorenzo Pagnan'. He runs a smart modern space with polished concrete floors, red and lime walls, raisincoloured benches and white and chrome chairs and tables."

SMH GFG 2004,Score 15/20,Consistently very good,'Lorenzo displays his culinary creativity in food that's fresh and well handled. The feeling is distinctly Italian ,yet the menu offers modern,cross-cultural influences'

SMH, good living, 2/3/04, Matthew Evans,'A loveable streetfront bistro in Wollongong keeps on keeping on, matching some Italian sensibilities with a bvy of international influences, to produce memorable results.'
