MirabellePh: (02) 9261 8277; St James Hotel, 114 Castlereagh St, Sydney 2000 Pub, Bar Other published opinions Sydney Morning Herald Lenny Ann Low, 24-1-2007 "At first glance Mirabelle is pretty luscious. Housed in a vast, low-lit space with deep rouge hues, the bar features plenty of chesterfield couches, poufs, chandeliers and antique velvet armchairs. The bar area, framed by large golden-framed mirrors, could accommodate a line of cancan dancers on its wooden counter and still have room to take orders. The lush curtains are red, the carpet golden and red and the wallpaper, also red, features prints of ruched curtains and padded satin walls. The boudoir-style room is big, lavish and roomy, like a 4WD version of a cosy Parisian bar and bistro." |
