Mietta's Review
The Japanese love affair with French food continues in this hard to find CBD restaurant where Japanese chef, Toshi Ishihara, cooks retro French dishes with a surprising Japanese twist. Once you make the cultural adjustment you will find the food well cooked with a god balance of flavours. Service is from the chef's wife Yoshiko. Reasonable prices.

SMH Good Food Guide 2005 Score 13/20 "This is one of the CBD's more obscure dining treasures, where a Japanese chef cooks French food. When we visited, it was made even more obscure by the complete absence of street signage. Just remember it's a floor above King Street and you'll be fine. Lunch-hour business types warm to the simple decor and discreet service from chef Toshi Ishihara's gracious wife Yoshiko."

SMH GFG 2004, Score 13/20,'The food is French, the chef Japanese, the decor English, and the view gritty downtown Sydney...But amazingly it works...For a safe end to an adventurous culinary jaunt, indulge in the homemade ice-cream that dominates the dessert list.'

The Sydney Morning Herald, good living, Eat Out, Matthew Evans, 30/4/02, Score 13/20. "From a menu that reads like something written in the 1970's come dishes which shop a surprising amount of craft and flavour. With a little more punchiness to the service and better desserts it could lift the point."
