Mietta's Review
Bistro-Fax is located in the lobby of the old Fairfax head office. Service starts at 6.30 with, with hotel guest enjoying buffet breakfast, lots of suits at lunch, then the dinner crowd moves in. the space is open and then modern art on the walls brings a contemporary feeling. The menu offers traditional favorites with a slight Italian touch.

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 14/20 "This spacious cake-slice of a restaurant with its high ceilings is home to a happy mix of businessmen and tourists kicking back over white tables and pale wood, perusing a confident menu with a few surprises"

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2007 Score: 14/20 "A test of any CBD restaurant, surely, is whether it can sustain lunch standards at dinner. The answer here is a resounding yes. This lovely 1920s pie wedge of a corner opens to clean, attractive, contemporary decor."

SMH Good Food Guide 2005 "In the morning, the crowd is mainly hotel guests rubbing their eyes and tucking into buffet breakfasts, but as the day wears on, outsiders drift in, too. They come because the food, prepared by ex-Darling Mills chef Carlos Repetto, is a notch above many hotel dining rooms"

Sydney Eats 2005 "Taking its name from the Fairfax empire and not a piece of office equipment, Bistro-Fax is one classy eatery. It's situated in what was the foyer to Sir Warwick's office. And as in its former use, the room sees its share of wheeling and dealing."
