Mietta's Review
Just off the highway through impeccably groomed gardens to this well established vineyard and restaurant. A large room with stove in one corner and open kitchen in another. Very carefully cooked dishes. Lots of choices for kids too. The Mod Oz menu is slightly fussy. The long bench tables are each set with some of the lovely roses from the vineyard garden.

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2009 Score: 13/20 "Lunch is the go, on the terrace preferably, looking down over banks of roses, rows of vines and clipped hedges to a superb stand of indigenous eucalypt forest"

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 13/20 "Don't come expecting a breezy seaside eatery - this is wine country, conveniently just off the highway and 10 minutes from the coast and Port Macquarie's less polished casual cafes"

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2007 Score: 12/20 "Set amid the vines and beautiful rose gardens of Cassegrain winery, this large, light-filled space with polished concrete floors and floor-to-ceiling glass opening onto wide wooden decking is an ideal relaxed lunch spot."

SMH GFG 2004,Score 12/20,'sitting at a picnic table on the verandah overlooking the vineyards is cathartic. The menu offers plenty to test-drive the wines, including platters of cheese or cured meats, plus strong Mediterranean and Asian flavours.'
