Mietta's Review
The restaurant is still part of the Drummoyne Sailing Club but has relocated to a brand new building next door which still has great views overlooking the water. The real Italian food is of high standard. The decor has a new sharp look about it and the service and atmosphere are excellent.

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 14.5/20 "A favourite spot for boaties with paunches and enviable launches, Ecco also pleases those with a penchant for home-style Italian cuisine, especially now that Giovanni Spinazzola (ex Bistro Moore) is in the kitchen"

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2007 Score: 14/20 "What do we want when dining out? Good food well presented, with attentive service and a sense of occasion. We like a view. And we want our king prawns pan-fried with garlic and white wine, thanks very much."

Sydney Eats 2006 "Superb views of the upper harbour and accomplished Italian food put Ecco in a class of its own around this neck of the woods. Not content to rest on their laurel leaves, they're continually pumping out new dishes."

SBS Eating Guide to Sydney 2005 "Now, though, it offers good quality, traditional food with a twist, as well as beautiful views across the water. Chef Antonio di Santo is from the Abruzzi region but says he likes to add the odd creative touch to regional dishes. You might get octopus braised with olives and lentils"

SMH Good Food Guide 2005 Score 14/20 "Even in Sydney the views don't get much better than this: a spectacular and unspoiled vista across the Parramatta River down to North Sydney. Settle in on the expansive weatherprotected deck or dine inside and be charmed by the warm, practised service, subdued, yet not-dark lighting and the ability to hear your dining companions rather than nearby families and groups."

Sydney Eats 2005 "With its wraparound water views, great service and impressive wine list, everything about Ecco is first-rate. ... The housemade pasta is terrific - pappardelle with hare ragu $21.50"

SMH GFG 2004, Score 14/20,'It's Italy at first bite at Ecco-a charming local...With food this good and a smart setting overlooking the islands of Parramatta River, Ecco nowadays deserves to shout its very name:here it is!'
