Mietta's Review
This is one of the most alive and happening restaurants on the lower north shore. The crowd is young and the staff are fun and actually interested in the adventurous, global food. Start off with their "bongo bread", followed by "prawns piri-piri" a mozambiquan marinated, grilled delicacy. Leave room for the fine desserts. This unique menu is well priced, as is the varied and worldy wine list.

Other published opinions

Sydney Eats 2008 "This is one of our favourite restaurants, a former Bent Fork Award winner with an interesting and eclectic menu that draws from the African continent and elsewhere around the globe, while world music provides an added international flavour"

Sydney Eats 2006 "This funky cafe, a former Bent Fork Award winner, has been turning on the tastebuds of locals (and adventurous diners from further afield) for a little over 13 years with its world cuisine, groovy music and atmospheric decor."

Sydney Eats 2005 "There's a funky edge to this cafe that comes partly from the world cuisine and mainly from the chilled-out decor and groovy tunes. Global trippers will be delighted with the unique menu that starts with entrees such as Cajun popcorn of New Orleans-style seasoned shrimp with spicy apricot sauce $13.95."
