Mietta's Review No longer just a little hut but still perched on the cliff overlooking the broad vista of Clark's Beach - seemingly endless sand and sea. Is the now renovated and (slightly) renamed Byron Beach Cafe. Magical still but with upgraded food from a 'named' chef, David Kendall. The laid back surfie feel has given way to paint polish and fine food. The prices, though not expensive by city standards, reflect this. The view remains.

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2009 Score: 13/20 "While some pine for the Byron of five years ago, this absolute beachfront cafe casts minds back to the 1950s, with its sepia-toned surf lifesaving images on the walls"
Daily Telgraph NSW Restaurant Guide 2004, A visit to Byron wouldn't be complete if you didn't stop for breakfast at the Beach Cafe.
