Mietta's Review
Special place, accessible only by boat or seaplane, and all the more exciting for that. Right on the water, with wonderful views into the Ku-ring-gai National Park, you dine outside under awnings and eat from an uncomplicated menu. Secluded but rather lively. There are choices available through the set five course $100 banquet.

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 12.5/20 "First, you've got to get here: by boat (water taxi or your own) or seaplane. There's no road to this waterfront weekend lunch spot (it feels like an 80s resort) with stunning Hawkesbury River views"

Sydney Morning Herald Simon Thomsen, 22-5-2007 Score: 13.5/20 "The al fresco dining room is a series of large varnished picnic tables with cushion-covered bench seats under a corrugated iron roof. It has the feeling of an '80s island resort. Upstream, Berowra Waters Inn was a blazing comet that enraptured for an all-too-brief period; Peats Bite is a quiet stayer. The view is beautiful, looking north across the water to the angophora-covered, honeycombed sandstone cliffs of the surrounding national park."

The Daily Telegraph, food & wine, 4/2/04, Sue Bennett,'Table-hopping is almost mandatory, celebrities rub shoulders with corporate big wigs and knockabout people who spend months saving to go there.Dress is casual, swimming between courses wouldn't raise an eyebrow...and the food is great.'
