Mietta's Review
All too often the magnificent cuisine of Greece is represented in Australia as a (just) edible excuse for a piss-up and a plate smashing. Kamari is not this, it serves pretty good food caringly. One of the joys of this cuisine is the seafood which they do well - the grilled octopus is superb, and the prawns are a pretty good go too.

Other published opinions

SBS Eating Guide to Sydney 2005 "Kamari for many is the pick of the Brighton eateries-the place to see and be seen if you get one of the front tables. It's a pretty eatery that looks out over the Grand Parade traffic towards the lights of Botany Bay. With wooden tables, splashes of turquoise, white-washed walls, mosaics and tiny window-alcoves in brilliant purple, it has a definite Greek feel about it."

Sydney Eats 2005 "Here you can experience really traditional Greek food with good service in taverna-style surroundings in the heart of Brighton-Le-Sands. Traffic noise is compensated by the view of the airport comings and goings."
