Mietta's Review
Gozde serves generous quantities of good Turkish food at low prices in a warm environment. The homestyle dishes go beyond the normal kebabs although the Adana (grilled minced spiced lamb) is excellent. The eggplant dishes are enough to warm the sternest vegetarian heart.

Sydney Eats 2006 "Regulars come here for the home-style Turkish cooking. The welcome is warm and the range of dishes served changes every day according to what the chef wants to cook, though there are always eggplant, vegetarian and lamb dishes to be had for very reasonable prices."
SBS Eating Guide to Sydney 2005 "When it was called Marathon it was one of our favourites and was a real Auburn landmark. Now with a name change, new owner-Bill Konak-and a little refurbishment, it still has us hooked. You can get pretty well all the same dishes as before-salads, dips and kebabs, plus soups and eggplant dishes."
Sydney Eats 2005 "Gozde specialises in homestyle cooking hearty comfort dishes just like your mum would have made if she was an excellent Turkish cook. The serving sizes are mighty generous and the prices are cheap."
