Mietta's Review Under new ownership much in this restaurant, once the ACT's prime fine diner, has changed. These days it's a smart modern Cafe with in spite of the new owner being French, modern Australian food at modern Canberran prices (mains firmly sub-$30s). The room in this underground dug-out (the restaurant roof is a grass covered hill) is still comfortable with the same lovely views of the of city lights reflected on the glass smooth surface of Lake Burley Griffin. In keeping with the move down-market, the tablecloths have gone but the comfortable white leather chairs remain and much is made of the outdoor dining area.

Canberra Times Karen Downing, 29-11-06 "With an emphasis on seafood, Waters Edge s elegant, comfortable, hospitable and affordable. IT IS TESTAMENT to a restaurant's experience and expertise when . everyone at the table would like to try almost everything from the menu especially when the group covers three generations of family. That we can contemplate the interesting menu at Waters Edge in contemporary comfort with glorious views across Lake Burley Griffin, is the sheer good fortune of being Canberran."
